ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Sam Ackerberg frequently advises private foundations on compliance questions related to asset transfers, contributions, compensation, direct charitable activities, fundraising, governance and program- and mission-related investments. He also assists clients on advanced grantmaking initiatives including international grantmaking, grants to individuals, scholarships, fellowships and award programs that require advanced approval by the IRS.
Mr. Ackerberg has worked with Foundation Source since 2021. He previously served as the development manager of a national public charity with eight state chapters as well as affiliated 501(c)(4) and Federal PAC entities. Mr. Ackerberg is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Northeastern University.
