New Member Application Form

Thank you for your interest in joining the Estate Planning Council of Colorado Springs!! Membership is guided by the requirements set forth in our By-Laws.

At this time, prospective members must be from the following professional groups: (a) Lawyers, Judges or Paralegals; (b) investment Professionals, Life Insurance Professionals or Financial Planners (CFP); (c) employees of financial institutions or trust companies; or (d) accountants, Valuation Experts, Planned Giving Professionals, or Educators. Anyone who does not qualify for membership under the above credentials/positions must have “at least 7 years’ experience utilizing estate planning within their field or profession.”

In all cases, prospective members must submit a completed application and a brief and concise letter setting forth the manner in which the applicant can contribute to the Council and what the applicant hopes to derive from membership in the Council. These must be accompanied by letters of recommendation from two active Council members, at least one of which must be from a member not within the applicant's own professional group.

You may scan and email the completed form to estateplanningcos@gmail.com or mail the application with the required documentation and check for $335 payable to EPC or Estate Planning Council COSat our PO Box. Our fiscal year runs from September to August, and we hold membership meetings in September, October, November, January, February, March, and May (our Annual Meeting. Additionally, we host summer and winter social events for our members.
